THERE IS NO LOVE

than the love of great food.

MORE SINCERE

About Cups of Love

The healing power of food has nearly been forgotten in our country.  The typical American diet is lacking in quality nutritional value, while portions are grossly oversized.  People have replaced good food with frequent visits to the doctor and prescription medications.  The resulting crisis is Americans are more obese and unhealthy than any people in the world today!

All of our Cups of Love are made using the freshest ingredients we can find every day.  We use as many organic products as possible, and always avoid ingredients that have added hormones, antibiotics, artificial preservatives, or any other unnecessary chemicals such as genetically modified organisims (GMO's).  Cups of Love portion sizes are perfect for people who have smaller appetites so they can enjoy healthy, great-tasting food without waste.  Since our Cups of Love are nutritionally dense, they are satisfying to anyone and can be enjoyed by everyone in the family.

All people deserve to have access to food that nourishes the body AND tastes great.  Each of our Cups of Love can easily be processed into a variety of liquid consistencies to make them ready to give through any size g-button.  This enables people who rely on enteral feeding to enjoy real food rather than the usual "milk-like formulas" prescribed by doctors.

Meet Spencer & His Mama

Spencer's Mama, Gina, loves to bake and cook.  Like most people who have this passion, she enjoys sharing her homemade food with others. Spencer loved to eat and he really appreciated great-tasting food which he was able to enjoy the first 16 years of his life.  Unfortunately, when his medical condition worsened and he had to get a g-button, and later a tracheostomy, his joy of eating ended.  His senses of taste and smell were taken from him, and eating by mouth became very difficult, so he lacked motivation to eat at all.

Spencer now has to get most of his nourishment by way of liquid meals given into his g-button (enteral feeding) just to thrive.  A few months after he initially got his g-button, he began resisting his feedings, which were all the same "milk-like" formula prescribed by his doctor.  He continued to eat as much by mouth as he could, but the forumla feedings were necessary to keep him hydrated and nourished.  He greatly missed eating real food and his overall health was deteriorating on the prescribed diet - especially his respiratory condition which eventually led to his tracheostomy.

Gina started making all of Spencer's food for his g-button feedings, and created a way to blend and strain just about any food so Spencer could enjoy a better eating experience.

The Joy of Eating

The Cups of Love concept is inspired by Spencer's lost joy of eating and his love of good, homemade food.  All of his favorite soups, entrees and cakes have been made into delicious, nutritionally dense "cups" that are convenient for anyone to eat, AND can easily be made into liquid meals to be given to people like Spencer with g-buttons.  Spencer is now much happier and healthier since all of his meals are made with real food.  He is determined to keep improving so he can have his trach tube removed someday, which will enable him to smell and taste food again.

We believe that there is no love more sincere than the love of great food.  All of the Cups of Love recipes are Gina's own creations made from family favorites she grew up eating, and soups, meals and desserts she has been serving her own family for many years.  All of our Cups of Love are healthy and satisfying so our hope is that sharing our food will help others remember that food has the power to heal.

Spencer believes the love of food is something many people take for granted.  He knows first hand that you never know how much you will miss eating until its taken away from you.  Spencer's journey  is a reminder that everyone deserves to eat really good food regardless of any medical condition that leads to a g-button for eating.
